Amazing succulents

If this is your first houseplant, it may be worth starting with one of the more commonly available varieties. All succulents require a pot with good drainage; they are not plants that enjoy being stood in water. Succulents also need sunlight, most varieties will want at least half a day of direct sunlight. The common varieties require more care during the growing season, which runs from spring to Autumn. During this period it is advised to water the plant thoroughly at least once a week and fertilise once a month. When the plants are resting you can increase the periods between watering. All pot plants require repotting at intervals, for most species of succulent repotting once a year will be enough.
