Shower shelves and baskets are available in various shapes in order to slip into every nook and cranny and make the most of your bathroom space. Some of the models available on the market are:
Shower shelves can be fixed via a suction cup, screws or fixing plugs, and may or may not feature edges. Before using these shelves, be sure to check that the fixings are strong enough to withstand the weight of your accessories.
A corner shower shelf or basket is a storage accessory that fits easily into any free corner of the bathroom.
A shower caddy is hung by a hook from the shower set and allows you to keep all your shower products close at hand. It is usually equipped with multiple shelves.
A telescopic shower caddy is easy to install and does not require screws or nails. The frame is mounted on a pole that is generally equipped with three or four shelves.
To prevent your storage accessories from deteriorating too quickly, it's best to go with a moisture-resistant material in line with your tastes and your bathroom decor.
Aluminium shower shelves and baskets are popular as they are strong and easy to maintain. However, the colour of the material will show limescale marks if your water is hard.
While it is a very resistant material, stainless steel is also sensitive to limescale. Whether brushed or polished, this material offers a silver look that is perfect for a modern bathroom.
Glass shelves and shower baskets are selected for their light look and clean lines. On the other hand, they are often difficult to maintain, fragile and prone to limescale build-up.
In addition to being easy to maintain, PVC shower selves and baskets are hard-wearing. In addition, they come in various colors and are inexpensive.
Shower caddies and baskets all have different dimensions depending on their design and number of shelves. Generally around 60 cm long and 15 cm wide, the thickness of the unit will ultimately depend on the material.
Shelves may be straight, angled or feature rounded edges.Shower baskets also come in a range of different shapes.
