Spray paint
4 productsTo repaint a surface quickly and efficiently, opt for spray paint! Moreover, ManoMano offers you high-quality glycerol, acrylic, alkyd paint at low prices. Suitable for all types of surfaces: PVC, ironwork, wood, or plastic. As for the finish of your spray paint, WE OFFER YOU A CHOICE: satin, glossy, or matte, it's all there.
Known for being easy to apply, spray paint requires a certain technique if you do not want to paint both your room and your wife at the same time! So how do you do it?
First, you must obviously arm yourself with a plastic sheet to protect the surfaces you do not want to paint. You could simply use adhesive tape if you want to paint specific and narrow parts (woodwork, metal handle...); or if you simply want to achieve a clean finish on a wider surface. This way, you will be certain to obtain clean edges like the professionals.
In order for the paint not to be too runny, it is important to shake the aerosol well for at least 2 minutes before any application and until the mixing ball inside starts rattling. Note that the spray paint must be upright when you use it so as to keep the same spray pattern throughout your work.
If the surface you wish to paint is not smooth or is dirty, it will need to be cleaned with a cleaner corresponding to the type of surface painted (see cleaning and restoration products) and then apply a primer to even out your surface. Once your furniture or wall is ready, that's when the work becomes simpler: you just have to take the spray can and apply it by exerting successive small pressures.
For the application, you're all set! Now how do you choose your paint?
As far as choosing the spray paint goes, the appearance of the paint depends more on the design you want to give to your woodwork or walls. Satin brings clarity to your room and is less prone to dirt, while matte paint is more suitable for a darker, relaxing atmosphere. Glossy stands out for its ability to bring light to your surface (much more than satin) and to give a modern touch to your room. As for the color, it's up to you!
