Cleaning a pool is a task simplified by using a pool robot. This device is essential for proper regular maintenance. To ensure its effectiveness, several accessories are required. What are they?
First of all, it should be noted that there are various types of pool cleaning robots such as:
- solar-powered robots;
- electric-powered robots that are powered by a plug or a battery;
- hydraulic robots.
Furthermore, the choice and purchase of accessories for a pool robot depend on the model of the device. This is the case with wall fittings, handle springs for electric robots, or foam brushes and tail brushes. To choose any of these elements correctly, one must ensure their compatibility with the robot. However, there are other essential accessories suitable for any type of device, such as the robot protective cover or tarp. This accessory is intended to maintain the condition of the device. Therefore:
- the protective cover should be the same size as the robot or slightly larger to protect it perfectly;
- the protective tarp should cover the entire robot.
For frequently used pools, pool cleaning robots are often used more frequently. Some parts may wear out faster than others, such as the filter bag or the robot’s filter cartridge. These accessories are generally used for filtering debris from the pool during cleaning and can be replaced in case of wear. However, compatibility and brand should always be checked to avoid malfunctions. Additionally, it is preferable to choose filters that can retain the finest particles and models that can withstand debris like small branches or dead leaves.
Moreover, a clarification must be made regarding the tasks of a pool robot, as cleaning is done according to the type of pool. Thus, some robots only brush the walls, and others are limited to vacuuming. For brushing, some devices come equipped with a variety of brushes to attach to the handle for brushing a specific surface (tiles, coating…). As for the vacuuming task, there are devices that vacuum debris on the surface, while others clean dirt at the bottom of the pool.
