Flimsy but compact
The aluminium frame is very thin, so it arrived predictably bent, but was easy enough to bend back, as it was only the lid. Assembly is easy. Will blow away on a stormy day unless held down - weighs next to nothing. The screws for the lid props (on the sides, not as pictured) rust in no time. Don't yet know how long it will last in usable condition. Does keep the rain and hail off, and will fold away in the summer, which were the main points for me, so does the job for a pretty low price. Just don't expect sturdy. Read more

Very pleased but cannot judge completely until tried and tested throuh a winter!
For use as an over-wintering cold frame for potted cuttings and bulbs. I don't yet know how weather resistant it will prove to be and therefore how useful. Read more

Ok for it's price.
The picture instructions ok but lid/base and inside/outside assembly could be better. Also, machining of lid fittings could have been better for initial assembly. Once assembled, found it too light to be located in a windy location unless heavy weight placed on internal corner supports. (but that takes up space!) The lid hinge has no stops at either end so when windy the lid slides, exposing the contents. Not sure yet when warm weather arrives how secure the lid will be when opened on the struts. Read more

A great, lightweight product. Good value. I would recommend.
Perfect! The item is just what my Aunt needed to replace a home-made cold frame. I just need to extend the original base now. The adjustable lid supports are located on the sides, not at the front, but this makes no difference. Read more
