Description
This refractometer allows for precise analysis of grape must for viticulture. It measures sugar content from 0 to 40% Brix and estimates the potential alcohol content up to 25% vol. Thanks to automatic temperature compensation (ATC), this tool provides a fast and reliable reading with just a few drops of liquid. Ideal for determining the optimal harvest time and monitoring fermentation, this device is designed specifically for unfermented juice. It is not suitable for measuring alcohol in finished wine or other spirits. Sugar measurement range: 0–40% Brix Potential alcohol measurement range: 0–25% vol Resolution: 0.2% Brix / 0.2% vol Functionality: Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) Sample material: Unfermented grape juice (must) Technical specifications: 0–40% Brix range for sugar and 0–25% vol for potential alcohol, with a resolution of 0.2%. Automatic temperature compensation ensures stable results. Compatibility and use: Designed exclusively for unfermented grape must. This instrument helps winemakers assess fruit maturity before the start of the fermentation process. Installation and use: No complex installation is required. Place a few drops of juice on the prism for an immediate reading of the sugar and potential alcohol levels. Other information: An essential tool for optimizing artisanal and professional winemaking. It allows for fermentation planning based on the initial sugar content of the grapes. Important notes: This device does not measure the actual alcohol content of the finished wine because alcohol interferes with refraction. Use it only on fresh juice before any alcoholic transformation.
