It is simply necessary that the socket is compatible with the B22 base, and the bulb will be able to fit in.
On the other hand, an LED bulb must be dimmable to ensure its compatibility with a dimmer switch. This means it can be paired with a dimmer switch to allow for an increase or decrease in brightness as needed. This practice is common, especially for creating an ambiance in a room or simply to save energy.
Furthermore, when choosing a B22 bayonet cap LED bulb, it might be wise to consider the suitable color temperature, measured in degrees Kelvin (K). Listed on the packaging by the manufacturer, this criterion allows choosing the appropriate light tone according to the room that needs lighting. The higher the Kelvin, the “colder” the light is. A B22 LED bulb:
- between 1,500 to 3,500 K is recommended for a room dedicated to relaxation;
- from 3,500 to 6,500 K promotes concentration at work.
