Installation
For optimal use in winter, follow these steps:- Seal the hives to retain vapor, typically with foam barrels at the entrance.
- Add the appropriate amount of oxalic acid to the evaporator cup.
- Connect the vaporizer to a 12V car battery.
- Place the evaporator cup in the center of the hive by the entrance and seal the inlet.
- Allow the oxalic acid to evaporate completely (a few minutes), then remove it.
- Seal for a few more minutes before removing the foam stopper from the inlet.
Use
This sprayer is used to administer oxalic acid treatment to bees, which is one of the most effective methods for controlling varroa mites. Be sure to follow the usage instructions to ensure effective treatment.Other Information
