Description: This isolated RS485E repeater is a kind of high-performance

industrial grade RS485 signal amplifier and extender. It can automatically

sense data flow direction and communication baud rate, not requiring any

control or handshaking signals, and ensuretransparent data

transmission. Equipment power supply and communication signal are

completely isolated, withsurge protection and static

Note: It is suggested to use RS485E equipment under

recommended value for long-term stable operation. Equipment will not damage

when working under limit value, but may result in performance degradation. Do

not exceed the limit value, otherwise it may damage the equipment. Wiring Note: 1. 485 communication wires must be shielded

twisted pair. It is better to have multi-strand for spare, and the total length

is not more than 1,200 meters. 2. Wires should be as far as possible away

from high-voltage wires, do not parallel with the power cord and cannot be

bundled together. 3.485 bus must

bus structure, and must not be star connection and fork connection. 4. 485 repeater must be used when there is

more than 30 controllers or wire is longer than 500 meters. 5. AC power supply equipment and case must

be grounded well. 6. Connect GND of all 485 devices with

shielded cable. 7. Connect 120 ohm terminal resistor in parallel

to 485+(A) and 485-(B) of the last 485 device. RS-485 bus wire should be 2-core shielded

twisted pair copper wire, of diameter 0.5 to 0.75 square millimeters, impedance

38 to 88 ohms / km, capacity of 30 to 50 nanofarad / km, twist pitch is 20mm

(if wire distance is not more than 500 meters, the standard can be appropriately

lower, but must be twisted pair) Bus Limit: Consists of two or more devices with

physical connections between each other, the bus can be connected up to 128

devices, in the case of no repeater, the bus length is not more than 1200

meters. The system bus should not branch, and if branch is unavoidable, the

following requirements must be met: 1. Length of branch is not more than 10

meters; the sum of bus length in not more than 800 meters; the total quantity

of equipment on the branch is not more than 50. 2. All communication signal wires should be

as far as possible away from interference source, the signal line should go

weak wells, and cannot be in parallel with strong power (such as 220 volt

residential power) or RF signal wire (such as CATV, large signal audio cable).

If in parallel, the distance should be longer than 0.5 meters. 3. All wire contacts must be welded or

screwed to the connection, and do waterproof and moisture-proof treatment. Signal Common Ground: 1. All devices on the same network segment

must have a uniform signal ground to avoid common mode interference. 2. When using centralized power supply, connect

DC negative poles of all power (including the communication device power) of

the same network segment together directly to form a common signal ground. At

this time the signal ground is the DC power ground. 3. When using individual power supply, connect

the ground (black wire) pins of all the bus devices on the same network segment

together to form a common signal ground. Indicator Light: PWR: Green power supply indicator light, normally

on when power on. COM: Red data indicator light, flashes when

there is data on bus. Terminal Definition: DC9V: power supply G: Isolate RS-485 ground, can connect to

earth or shielded wire A: RS-485 signal input/output positive B: RS-485 signal input/output negative Recommended Debug Methods: Make sure the wiring is correct. 1, Common ground: use 1 wire or shield wire

to connect GND of all 485 devices together, which can avoid potential

difference that influence communication between all devices. 2, Terminal resistor: connect a 120ohm

terminal resistor in parallel to 485+ and 485- of the last 485 device, in order

to improve communication quality. 3, Disconnect middle section: by disconnecting

in the middle to check if it is because there are too many loads, or

communication distance is too long, or some device is damaged that influence

the whole communication wire. 4, Single wire: connect one single wire to

device, which can be used to eliminate if the wiring causes communication

fault. 5, Change convertor: change convertor to eliminate

if the convertor quality influences communication quality. 6, Laptop debug: make sure your laptop

communicates normally, replay client's computer to communicate.
