Check the tire for thorns, etc., then remove them. Double cuts are usually the result of a rim pinch. The tube has been pinched between the rim and an object in the road/trail. Increase air pressure or use wider tires. A blowout causing a large, jagged hole. These are usually not repairable. Also check for damage to the tire and rims. A cut or tear that lasts a long time may also indicate a tire blowout. Generally, this is not repairable. Exercise caution when fitting a tire during installation. Inspect before installation. Inspect the outside of the tread for nails, pieces of glass, thorns, or other protruding objects. Visually inspect the inside of the tire casing for nails, glass, or debris. Wipe the inside of the casing with a cloth, then carefully feel the inside with your fingers. Be careful if using a tire changer. The tire lever makes it very easy to puncture a hole in your inner tube. Inspect both sides of the tire for the bead seat and for any signs of the inner tube coming out. Reinstall as necessary. How to inspect the hole on the inner tube? Inspect for air leaks from the inner tube near the sensitive skin of your lips or near your ear. Move the tube around its circumference. If these steps don't work, push the inner tube into water and watch for bubbles in the hole.
