Wired pull chain switch, activates the canopy light by gently pulling the beaded chain, compatible with most ceiling fans or fans. Ceiling fan wiring steps: 1. Make sure the existing light switch has 2 wires. If you have 3 wires, you need a 3-wire switch. 2. Use wire strippers to cut the wires from the existing light switch. 3. Strip about 1/2 inch of the black wire. Ceiling fan wiring steps: 4. Connect the black side of the light switch to the black side of the ceiling fan. 5. Connect the other black wire from the light switch to the other black wire from the ceiling fan. Ceiling fan wiring steps: 6. Use the wire connector to twist the wires clockwise to ensure a connection between the wires. 7.
