A tap aerator is a small, inexpensive device that attaches to the aerator tip of a faucet. It allows us to reduce water consumption by 20 to 80%. Its operating principle is quite simple. The aerator's unique internal shape creates a vacuum that draws in air. The water is then mixed with only air and, as such, exits the faucet spout. The effect of this action is to maintain the same strong water flow, but at a much lower consumption. This aerator will have a 20mm male (external) thread and will fit taps with 20mm female (internal) threads.
