Installation
To replace the starter in a pellet stove, follow these steps:
- Unplug the stove.
- Remove the rear service panel.
- Remove the trough motor and trough mounting plate.
- For some models, the starter may be accessible from the left side by removing the blower from the room.
- Locate the starter under the hopper; it will have white braided wires.
- Disconnect the wires from the old starter and remove it.
- Use a 5/8" wrench to loosen the starter fitting by turning it counterclockwise.
- Check the fuse (red wire with a black cap); Replace it if it is burnt out.
- Reinstall all the parts in reverse order.
