25 m² Geotextile Fabric 120 g/m² Grey, 1 m Wide – Drainage, Filter, Separation & Protection Fabric
Product information
Description
VERSATILE GEOTEXTILE FABRIC: The grey AQUAGART fabric is suitable as a separation, protective, filter, drainage and underlay fabric for gardening and landscaping, gravel areas, paths, paving work and selected floor and roof constructions.
ROBUST POLYESTER SPUNBOND FABRIC: The geotextile is needle-punched on both sides and thermally bonded. It has a basis weight of 120 g/m² (± 10%) and a thickness of approximately 1.1 mm (± 10%). Its maximum tensile strength is 340 N/5 cm in the longitudinal direction and 300 N/5 cm in the transverse direction.
SEPARATES, PROTECTS AND FILTERS: Used as a textile intermediate layer, the drainage fabric can separate different material layers. It is suitable for use beneath gravel, foam glass gravel and loose fill, as well as in path and paving construction.
VAPOUR-PERMEABLE AND ROT-RESISTANT: The filter fabric is vapour-permeable, rot-resistant and resistant to bitumen, membranes and moisture. It is also UV-stable, metal-free and detector-tested.
AVAILABLE IN 1 M OR 1.5 M WIDTHS: Choose the appropriate roll width for your project. The 1 m wide version is particularly suitable for narrower areas, while the 1.5 m wide version allows larger surfaces to be covered efficiently.
Product Description
The grey AQUAGART geotextile fabric with a basis weight of 120 g/m² is a versatile separation, protective, filter, drainage and underlay fabric for numerous projects around the home, garden, landscaping and roofing. The fabric is available in widths of 1 m and 1.5 m, allowing you to select the most suitable version for the area concerned.
Versatile Support for Different Layer Constructions
Construction and gardening projects frequently involve different materials such as soil, gravel, crushed stone, chippings, insulation materials or loose fill. The geotextile fabric can be installed between these layers, where it serves as a separating, protective or filtering intermediate layer. This makes it suitable for path and paving construction, gravel areas and a variety of gardening and landscaping applications.
The geotextile can also be used as a practical underlay beneath foam glass gravel and loose fill. In roofing applications, it is suitable as a separation and filter fabric for green and flat roofs, as an underlay beneath loose insulation, or as a trickle protection layer in suitable roof constructions.
Robust, Thermally Bonded Polyester Spunbond Fabric
The material consists of polyester spunbond fabric that is needle-punched on both sides and thermally bonded. With a basis weight of 120 g/m² and a thickness of approximately 1.1 mm, it provides a durable textile intermediate layer without adding unnecessary bulk.
The maximum tensile strength is 340 N/5 cm in the longitudinal direction and 300 N/5 cm in the transverse direction. Elongation is 45% longitudinally and 46% transversely. These material properties allow the fabric to adapt well to the substrate and existing contours. It can be laid according to the requirements of the project and is suitable for both smaller private projects and larger areas.
Vapour-Permeable and Resistant
The AQUAGART geotextile fabric is vapour-permeable and rot-resistant. It is resistant to bitumen, membranes and moisture and is also UV-stable. In addition, the material is metal-free and detector-tested. These properties enable its use in a variety of ground, garden, construction and roof applications.
Typical Applications
- As a separation and protective layer beneath gravel
- For gardening and landscaping projects
- As an intermediate layer in path and paving construction
- As an underlay beneath foam glass gravel
- Beneath loose fill in floor constructions
- As a separation and filter fabric for green and flat roofs
- As an underlay beneath loose insulation in roof areas
- As a trickle protection layer in suitable constructions
Installation and Selecting the Appropriate Width
Before installation, prepare the intended area and remove any sharp or obstructive objects. Then unroll the geotextile fabric onto the substrate and position it according to the planned construction.
When laying several strips, provide an overlap appropriate for the specific project. The fabric can then be covered with the intended material layer.
A roll width of 1 m is available for narrower areas and compact projects. The 1.5 m wide version is particularly suitable for larger surfaces, as it allows wider strips to be installed.
