Capture: 2. To create a capture, simply enter the capture menu, set the frequency using the remote control button, press the Red Record button (R), and then press the remote control button.

Portapack requires an external battery. Any battery connected to USB should work, although their quality varies considerably, and a poorly designed battery can inject regulator noise into the radio. Portapack will not replace your portable amateur radio receiver. Reception sensitivity varies depending on the frequency band, but performance is not as good as a true amateur radio receiver.
