PTFE glides are suitable for almost all floor types. Their advantage over felt glides is that they are impervious to moisture.
(Also suitable for outdoor use.)PTFE glides are NOT suitable for the following floor types:
Sensitive wood floors
Rough-surface elastic floors (some types of linoleum)
Concrete floors
Screed
With these types of flooring, friction causes excessive heat generation, resulting in extremely short lifespans and the development of scratches and scuffs.
