Advanced sensor technology is used to accurately and quickly locate metal pipes, fire lines, studs, wood framing, rebar and support beams hidden behind walls, floors and ceilings.
It has five different scanning modes. Spiral mode detects wood beams up to 1.5 inches (38 mm) in drywall. Metal mode detects pipes up to 3 inches (7.62 cm) long. Depth mode can detect wood and metal parts up to 2.4 inches (60 mm), while 85 to 240 VAC can be used to detect live and energized wires up to 2 inches (51 mm).
For convenient use, please press and hold the scan button for 1 to 2 seconds before testing. Automatic calibration provides the user with maximum reliability and accuracy. The ergonomic design of this wall detector allows it to be mounted at any angle.
The LCD screen displays the required hardware for the pins and the exact location of the pins. When hardware is found, the LCD screen displays an audible signal to let you know if you are close to your target. Fast detection saves the user time and effort and makes it easier to complete tasks.
Since the stud finder looks for density changes behind drywall, not a specific material, the detector responds to metal studs the same way it does to wood studs in both the stud scan and deep scan modes. Use the metal scan mode to determine if previous stud scan readings were for wood studs, metal studs, or pipes.
The multi-function wall scanner detector has a graphical LCD display that can show many indications during detection, such as signal strength in detection mode, automatic calibration, battery indication, and maximum readability. When the battery is low, a low battery indicator icon will be displayed to remind you to replace the fully charged battery in time.
