Black Zinc Plated Explained
These screws are standard zinc-plated screws with a decorative black coating applied.
The black Dip Spin coating offers a slightly increased level of corrosion protection and is very thin, so it does not interfere with the threads, there is no buildup in the threads, and no indentations on the heads.
The coating is solvent-based and chemical-resistant and also RoHS2 compliant.
Please note, however, that due to the thin application on these screws, it is possible for the coating to scratch slightly.
