General description

Premium sanding sheets provide excellent sanding performance on wood, metal, and plastic. The industrial aluminium oxide (AO) offers a great combination of strength, hardness, and durability. The hook and loop system allows for quick removal of the sheets, making the sanding process more efficient. The grit size determines the smoothness of the finish; the higher the grit, the finer the finish. These sanding sheets are compatible with most brands of finishing sanders and feature 3 + 3 dust extraction holes for a safer working environment when a dust collector or extractor is present.

Usage

The grit you use depends on the job you are trying to do.

Lower grit numbers (40-60) are for heavy sanding and stripping, while higher numbers (150-180) are for final sanding passes before finishing.

Medium grit (80-120) is used for smoothing surfaces and removing smaller imperfections.

Very fine (220-240) is for sanding between coats of stain or sealer, and extra fine (280-320) is for removing dust spots or marks between finish coats.

Super fine (360-600) is for fine sanding of the finish to remove luster or surface blemishes and scratches.
