Description

"🌱Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus) is an excellent perennial that adds color and fragrance to any garden. Its nectar-rich flowers attract bees, making it ideal for flower beds, wildflower meadows, and gardens. 🌱Germination time: Approximately 7 to 10 days. Optimal soil temperature for germination: Above 15°C (59°F). 🌷Sowing time: (Spring/Autumn)

Sow directly where the seeds will flower. When preparing the soil, remove perennial weeds and loosen the soil by raking. Sow evenly and sparsely. Do not cover with soil; lightly firm the soil with a roller or your foot to ensure good seed-to-soil contact. For best results, sow from March to April or in September. 🌷Depth Sowing depth: The optimal depth for sowing blueberry seeds is 0.5 to 1.5 cm. This depth ensures the seeds receive the appropriate light and temperature for germination. Direct sowing period: The optimal sowing period is from March to May. During this time, the plants have ample time to bloom profusely throughout the summer, until October, offering a magnificent display. Light requirements: Blueberries prefer bright light and grow best in well-drained soil. Under these conditions, they develop optimally and produce abundant flowers. The soil should be loose and fertile, and overwatering should be avoided. Growing tips: Blueberries are easy to grow and require no special care. However, regularly removing spent flowers and leaves encourages new growth. Proper fertilization and watering will ensure the plants remain healthy throughout the growing season.

What to plant and sow in March

For most gardeners, the year really kicks off in March. Depending on where you live, the amount of sun exposure you have and what you plan to grow, you can start seeds indoors and in greenhouses, repot your indoor plants and sow your summer annuals. Lettuces, leeks and carrots can also go in the ground from mid-March.
