How do I clean my humidifier?

We suggest cleaning the humidifier every three days. This may seem like a lot of work, but it's worth it to avoid the dreaded humidifier lung.

1. Unplug and disassemble your humidifier.

2. Fill the water tank as you normally would, but add 2 tablespoons of distilled white vinegar (powdered citric acid, or a similar weak acid, can also be used).

3. Let this mixture sit in the tank for 30 minutes.

4. Empty the humidifier and use a brush and cloth to clean areas with heavy buildup.

5. Rinse all parts and let them dry for 30 to 60 minutes before using the humidifier again.
