Ultra Bright Smart LEDs: 24 ultra bright smart LEDs arranged in a circle with an outer diameter of 3.3 inches (85 mm). The rings are "chained" - connecting the output pin of one to the input of the other.
No External Choke Resistors: Each has a constant current drive of about 18 mA, so the colors are very consistent even with voltage changes, and no external choke resistors are required, which improves the design.
Just 5V DC: Power it with 5VDC and you're ready to rock. There's a data line that has a very specific protocol for synchronization.
