How to test a trailer connection (can also be a caravan or bike rack)
1. Insert the plug into the tester's connector.
2.Press the yellow button on the side of the tester.
3.If the wiring is correct, all the LEDs will light up.The function of each LED is (according to ISO 1724):
A.Left-hand indicator (yellow)
B.Fog light or 12V (blue)
C.Ground (white)
D.Right indicator (for green)
E.Right taillight (brown)
F.Left brake light (red)
Left taillight (black)

Note:1.Put the tester into the car's socket. 2.Press the yellow button on the side of the tester. 3.If the wiring is good, all the LEDs will light up. Repeat steps 4 as before. You can also test the functions of each pin on the connector. 1. Turn on the left turn signal (after inserting the ignition key). 2. The corresponding LED should flash at the same frequency. If it does not, the wiring for the left turn signal is faulty/broken. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the right turn signal, taillight, fog light, and brake lights. 4.
