Tips to encourage hedgehogs to settle in

- In early autumn, place the shelter in a sheltered, shady spot

- Position the entrance on the side protected from the elements

- Cover the house with dead leaves and twigs to protect it from other animals

- Place leaves as nesting material near the house

- Do not disturb! Tip: Place a branch in front of the entrance; if it's no longer there, the hedgehog may have already moved in. Hibernation lasts approximately 5 months – from November to March.
