General description

Tile Backer boards are specifically designed for two primary purposes: as a first-class heat insulation for underfloor heating systems and as a superior waterproof surface for fixing wall or floor tiles. These boards are particularly suited for underfloor heating mats and under-tile heating cable applications, providing excellent support for even the heaviest wall tiles, unlike traditional plasterboard.

Installation

Installation below underfloor heating systems on an existing un-insulated concrete or timber sub-floor will greatly reduce heat-up time and running costs. Correct installation methods must be followed to ensure optimal performance.

Usage

These Tile Backer boards can be used on both walls and floors, making them ideal for wet rooms. They are waterproof and dimensionally stable, providing excellent sound insulation by significantly reducing impact sound. The boards can be tiled, plastered, or clad, allowing for fast creation of tiled partition walls anywhere within the home. They are easy to cut with a sharp knife or fine-tooth saw.
