If you don't have a smoker, simply drill a 6 mm (1/4") hole and insert the thermometer as shown above. This thermometer is suitable for cooking temperatures from 60 to 430 °C (100 to 800 °F). If your barbecue doesn't have an opening, you can drill a 6 mm (1/4") hole and attach the thermometer.
