Product information

Description

The aqua-Dial Combi-Care Compact is designed to reduce the build up caused by hard water. It works by proportionally blending a minute amount of aquablend Polyphosphate into the water.

The Aquablend suspends the hardness salts thus preventing them from forming scale. Storage tanks and cylinders can be treated and they can also be used with the same cartridges in soft water as a corrosion inhibitor.

For whole house, hot water systems and/or individual appliance protection. A permanent treatment preventing hard water scale and soft water corrosion problems. Fits horizontal or vertical pipework. Flow rate up to 54ltrs/min (22mm) 12 months cartridge life. Free annual reminder system. Works on high or low flow rates.

Unless hard water in your heating system is treated, scale builds up in the heat exchangers pipework and emersion heater elements. Only 1.5 mm of scale build up will increase your energy consumption by 12% per annum.

The Aquadial Combi Care uses polyphosphate in a dilute form and acts as a sequester preventing precipitation of calcium scale as well as offering a level of protection against corrosion.

The polyphosphates forms bonds with the scale causing minerals, which make them more water soluble. The hard minerals remain in the solution as opposed to depositing scale on heat exchangers. This means that the treatment is permanent so storage of water in tanks and thermo stores remains protected at all times

These kits are easily installed just in front of the boiler on the cold water inlet feed or at the mains for whole house protection. 15 mm or 22 mm versions available Space required is only 72mm for 15mm System and 95mm for 22mm System

The manufacturer recommends that if fitted for whole house protection, an untreated supply is used for drinking water.

Water softener buying guide

It's important to keep tabs on water quality to protect your sanitary appliances from rust and limescale. If your water is too soft, it will corrode your pipes; too hard and limescale will set in. One solution is to use either a salt-based or salt-free water softener. Read on to find the right water softener for you!
