Description

General description This Auto Paint Tester Coating Thickness Gauge features built-in magnetic induction and a dual vortex principle probe, allowing it to automatically identify the measured metal substrate. Simply place it on the surface to calculate the coating thickness. It is designed for measuring the thickness of non-metallic coatings, such as paint and film, on metal substrates quickly, non-destructively, and accurately. The device is particularly useful for assessing vehicle surface paint and other coatings. Technical specifications Material: ABS Color: Orange, Black (optional) Screen Orientation: Horizontal, Vertical (optional) Measuring Range: 0 ~ 2000um Accuracy: (3%+1um) Resolution: 0um ~ 99.9um (0.1um), 100um ~ 999um (1um), > 1000um (0.01mm) Zero Calibration: Supported Statistics: Average, Minimum, Maximum, Count Units: um, mm, mils Minimum Convex Radian: 5mm Minimum Concave Radian: 25mm Minimum Measured Area: Diameter 20mm Minimum Substrate Thickness: 0.2mm Maximum Measuring Speed: 2 Readings Per Second Power Supply: 2 x 1.5V 7-cell batteries (not included) Operating Environment Temperature: 0 ~ 50°C, 20 ~ 90% RH (non-condensing) Storage Environment Temperature: -10 ~ 60°C, 20 ~ 90% RH (non-condensing) Size: 113mm x 53mm x 24mm Installation Step 1: Prepare the parts to be tested. Step 2: Stay at least 2cm away from any metal object, then press the switch key to turn on the device. Step 3: Zero the instrument using the "zero calibration" feature before testing. Step 4: Place the probe vertically on the surface until a drop sound is heard, then lift it at least 2cm away to perform the next measurement. Usage Ensure the tester is perpendicular to the test surface at a 90-degree angle when measuring paint thickness. If the automatic shutdown function is enabled, the device will turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity.
