To check the fluid quality

Press the button to turn on; the green LED will light up. Insert the tester into the reservoir for one second, and the tester result will be correctly indicated by the LEDs.

Press the button again to turn off. The tester will automatically turn off after approximately 15 seconds of inactivity.

Tester Instructions:

The brake fluid detection pen is based on changes in conductivity to determine the brake fluid's moisture content. It clearly shows the extent of the moisture content with an LED; a high moisture content will result in a lower boiling point, affecting braking performance.

Red indicates that the brake fluid must be replaced immediately, green indicates good condition, and yellow indicates acceptable condition but replacement is needed soon.

1. Green LED illuminates = Water content in brake fluid (H2O) 1.5%, brake fluid is good.

2. Yellow LED illuminates = Water content in brake fluid (H2O) = 1.5% to 3%, can continue to use, retest in six months.

3. Red LED illuminates = Water content in brake fluid (H2O) 3%, can no longer be used, brake fluid must be replaced. Red LED: Change brake fluid.

4. Flashing red LED: Battery replacement.

5. Yellow LED: Low moisture content, recheck in six months.

Caution:
