Its connection is exceptionally simple. It features SPDIF (Toslink/Optical) and coaxial digital inputs that automatically identify and switch between them. It offers six RCA channel outputs (Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right, Center, and Subwoofer) for a 5.1 configuration, as well as a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack. Switch from 5.1 channel mode to 2.0 stereo mode with a single button. An LED indicator on the front panel confirms 5.1 signal reception. To enjoy surround sound, ensure your audio source (such as a Blu-ray player) is outputting Dolby or DTS and is set to "RAW" or "Bitstream". The decoder includes an adjustable volume knob to control the output level. Note that an AV amplifier is still required. If the volume seems low, also check the volume settings on your audio source and amplifier. With exceptional compatibility, it interfaces perfectly with network players, HD TVs, DVDs, satellite receivers (DM500S/DM800HD), and game consoles such as PS2, PS3, PS4/Pro, and Xbox.
