Simple Digital Chess Timer – For Friendly Games and Tournaments

Give your chess games the pace and intensity of a real tournament with this classic digital timer. Designed for players of all levels, from family clubs to friendly competitions, it allows you to time each player's thinking time, adding an exciting tactical dimension to the game.

Simple and Rules-Compliant Operation

The timer has two independent clocks, one for each player. At the start of the game, you program the total time for each player (e.g., 10 minutes, 15 minutes, etc.). When a player makes their move, they press their button, which stops their time and starts their opponent's. The timer beeps a warning when a player is in time trouble (very short time) and sounds an alarm when a player runs out of time (loss by time).

This system is standard for blitz, rapid games, and tournaments.

Robust and Portable Design

Made of durable ABS plastic, this timer is lightweight yet sturdy. Its generous size (approximately 14 cm) makes it stable on the table and easy to handle. The large buttons are designed for quick operation after a move, without the risk of knocking it over. Powered by 2 AAA batteries (not included), it offers long battery life and complete portability, without a bothersome cord.

A Fun and Educational Tool

Beyond competition, the timer is an excellent educational tool. It teaches players, especially beginners, to manage their thinking time, avoid chronic indecision, and make faster, more intuitive decisions. For games with family or friends, it adds an extra element of excitement and ensures that a game doesn't drag on indefinitely.

The essential accessory for any serious game of chess or simply for lively game nights.
