Baxi is a company with distant origins when in 1925 the German Westen family founded the Smalterie Metallurgiche Venete factory, one of the largest factories of enamelled products such as electric water heaters and bath tubs as well as heating products such as steel heating bodies.
At the end of the 1970s, the company focused its production on the heating sector, becoming one of the first factories to introduce domestic gas appliances with the production of wall-mounted boilers at the same time as the expansion of the gas network that was taking place at that time.
In the mid-1980s, the company continued with excellent results, consolidating its presence in Italy; expansion into foreign markets also began.
In 1999 it became part of the British BAXI GROUP, Europe's leader in the heating sector.
In 2009 De Dietrich Remeha Group and Baxi Group announced the creation of BDR Thermea.
Today, Baxi designs and manufactures in Europe's largest factory in the sector.
The more than 9 million boilers produced are a sure confirmation of the quality and reliability of the entire range. A complete range of energy efficient products to guarantee maximum comfort and savings that has evolved over the years from a single product offer to an integrated system with renewable sources.
