Modular USB sockets
no products foundToday, the word USB is on everyone's lips. An abbreviation for Universal Serial Bus, it is primarily used in computing. Indeed, it is used to connect peripherals to a computer. But it can also power small devices and even recharge batteries. The number of products requiring a USB connection has multiplied, pushing manufacturers to offer USB sockets to mount.
Initially, in the 1990s, the USB standard was strictly used by major tech names. It was intended to allow the connection of peripherals to a computer without having to restart it. The application of the USB standard has extended to several areas, including the powering of small peripherals. It is no longer uncommon to find small devices powered by USB with a small transformer plugged into an electrical outlet, to which the USB plug is connected. Mobile phones in particular, tablets, small portable storage devices, and even fans use USB to operate. Leading brands like Legrand have then offered mountable USB sockets on the market. These are female USB sockets to be installed on a wall, an electrical baseboard, or any other socket support where a device requiring a USB connection to operate can be plugged in. As these are mountable sockets, it is necessary to purchase finishing plates at the same time to avoid an unfinished look. USB sockets with covers are also available.
