The product has a slight silicone odor. This is because the product is sealed during packaging and transport, making the presence of this odor unavoidable. Generally, a vulcanizing agent (an essential catalyst for molding) is added to the raw material, giving the silicone a particular smell and making the final product more flexible. Normally, most of the vulcanizing agent evaporates after molding, and the residue disappears after a few days. (The vulcanizing agent is safe for health.) --------- Tip for removing the odor: Soak the product in salt water for about half an hour, rinse, and dry. The odor will disappear. 2. Although silicone products have a particular odor, the finished ice cubes will not have this smell if there is no other odor coming from the refrigerator. 3.
