Step 1: clean surfaces with mild soap and water before gluing the paper.

Step 2: Measure the area to be covered. Cut the paper to the correct size, leaving about an inch of overlap on all edges, for an easier fit.

Step 3: When removing the backing paper, use a squeegee to smooth evenly the paper from top to bottom. If the paper peels off during the process, you can peel it off and continue to glue it again.

Step 4: If there are bubbles or creases, pierce with a needle and squeeze the air out . Also, you may find a heat gun useful, as the foil is PVC and heat can make it malleable.
