This saw is ideal for tradesmen on the move, operated by one 18V battery and weighing under 15kg this is one of the most maneuverable and light weight saws available.

The new Bosch BITURBO brushless technology is what allows this 18V mitresaw to compete with corded 1600W machines. The GCM 18V-216 has an unmatched application range, setting a new standard with a cutting depth of 70mm.

Benefits
Powerful but compact: New cordless mitre saw with 1,600W comparable corded power at most compact size
Corded performance: Fully equal to a corded 1,600W mitre saw due to new BITURBO Brushless technology
Mobility at its best: Light weight and great ergonomics as the saw is operated by one 18V battery only
Unmatched application range: Sets a new standard with a cutting depth of 70mmSupplied as a bare unit with a 216 x 30mm 24 tooth blade. Batteries and Charger Available SeparateBITURBO Brushless Technology - Cordless tools now better than corded tools: Biturbo tools from Bosch for professionals
A new dimension of performance
Performance that equals 1,000 to 1,800 watts corded tools
With one battery that is just as powerful as competitor two battery models
Optimized for easy handling and weight new functions, such as user interface

A new dimension of performance: With Biturbo, Bosch is introducing the next generation of cordless tools. The Bosch BITURBO tools are optimized for maximum performance with Bosch ProCore18V batteries.

This makes them more powerful than all previous cordless tools from Bosch and offers professionals the equivalent power from a 1,000 to 1,800 watts corded tool. Also regarding handling and weight, Biturbo tools are an advantage: With one battery, they are just as powerful as competitor models with two batteries.

This is based on the optimum coordination of their specially developed, brushless high-performance motor with electronics and battery that allows for usage of high-power currents and therefore the entire potential of the ProCore18V batteries with 8.0 and 12.0 Ah.

If you do not have a ProCore18V battery at hand, you can also use the previous lithium-ion battery: In the Bosch Professional 18 volt system, compatibility with new and existing power tools and chargers is guaranteed.

About The Brand

BOSCH
In 1886, Robert Bosch, a 25-year-old German engineer, founded an electrical engineering company in Stuttgart. He was returning from a long professional trip to the United States that had led him to work for Thomas Edison, one of the greatest engineers in history. Bosch improved the ignition magnet the following year, to be the first to adapt it to a car engine. This innovation allowed him to develop his business at a steady pace. In the 1920s, he converted his company from automotive supplier to electronics manufacturer. The company has been able to distinguish itself from other brands of DIY power tools by aiming for long-term and high-end, from its famous green drill to complex products such as rippers or garden tools (sculpts -hays, chainsaws ...). This was the success we know. Bosch currently employs 280,000 people worldwide and generates 46 billion euros in sales. Bosch spends up to 10% of its turnover on R & D, a rare effort in the industry. 92% of the capital of Robert Bosch GmbH is held by a charitable foundation Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH. Thus the profits of the company are donated to this foundation. The remaining 8% of capital is held by the descendants of Robert Bosch's family.
