Caution: The instrument must be zero-calibrated before use. Calibration:
First method:
Place a few drops of distilled water on the detection prism and turn the zero adjustment screw to set the separation line to the 0% position on the scale.
Second method: (only for determining sugar content)
Use a temperature correction table, then add (or subtract) the temperature correction value from the reading at room temperature to obtain an accurate value.
Instructions: 1. Open the cover and thoroughly wipe the detection prism with a soft cloth.
2. Take 2 to 3 drops of the solution to be tested, place them on the prism, close the cover to prevent bubbles, and spread the solution over the prism surface.
3. Direct the instrument's light-inlet plate toward the light source or a bright location, look through the eyepiece, and turn the eyepiece adjustment knob until the blue-white boundary is clear. The value on the separation line scale corresponds to the concentration of the solution.



Clean the prism before and after use.
