The Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label is located under the hood or next to the radiator on most vehicles. If the vehicle is OBD II compliant, the label will indicate OBD II Certification. Furthermore, government regulations require all OBD II compliant vehicles to be equipped with a 16-pin "universal" Data Link Connector (DLC).
