In most cases of CO poisoning, people use barbecues, charcoal stoves, or bring a generator into the house during a power outage. To prevent CO poisoning, installing CO detectors in areas where it is likely to be produced, such as kitchens and bathrooms, can help detect CO leaks in time. You must install these detectors even if there is no actual source of CO emissions in your home. CO detectors are standalone, battery-powered carbon monoxide (CO) detectors with built-in CO sensors that protect you and your family from the dangers of CO.
