Diesel Injector Flow Meter, Diagnostic Cylinder, Fuel Line Test Kit for Common Rail Adapter with Storage Box

1. Remove the return line clip from the injector. Gently pull the return line, including the plastic adapter, away from the injector.

2. Select the appropriate adapter. The adapters pre-assembled on the hose are suitable for Bosch injectors. Mount the hook of the aluminum measuring cup bracket, for example, on the engine cover and connect the tubes or measuring cylinder to the injectors. You must reattach the original clip to allow it to be removed.

3. For a meaningful reading, connect a graduated cylinder or measuring cup to each injector.

For example, a 6-cylinder engine must also be connected to 6 graduated cylinders or a graduated cup.

4. Start the engine and let it idle. Check the graduated cylinder or graduated cup; as soon as the engine starts, they should be filled with fuel from the common rail system. Stop the engine if a significant difference in quantity or the maximum quantity is reached.

5. The difference in fuel quantity between the cylinders gives you information about the condition of the injectors. The injector is faulty if one of the graduated cylinders or the cup measures a significantly greater quantity of fuel (compared to the other). If there is only a very small difference in quantity, a diagnosis can only be made according to the manufacturer's instructions.
