General Description

This diesel injector flow meter is a diagnostic kit designed to test the fuel line on injectors. It is equipped with common rail adapters and comes in a convenient storage case. This kit allows you to assess the condition of the injectors by measuring the amount of fuel injected into each cylinder.

Installation

Remove the return line clip from the injector. Gently separate the return line, including the plastic adapter, from the injector. Select the appropriate adapter (pre-assembled adapters are suitable for Bosch injectors). Mount the aluminum bracket hook of the measuring cup to the engine hood and connect the tubes or measuring cylinder to the injectors. For a 6-cylinder engine, connect 6 graduated cylinders or a graduated cup.

Operation

Start the engine and let it idle. Observe the graduated cylinders or measuring cup; they should fill with fuel from the common rail system. Stop the engine if a significant difference in quantity is observed. Analyze the difference in fuel quantity between the cylinders to assess the condition of the injectors. An injector is faulty if one of the containers measures a significantly higher quantity of fuel. In the case of a very small difference, further diagnosis may be necessary according to the manufacturer's instructions.
