Each strip of tape contains 4 x 0.16mm diameter wires to carry an electrical current, with a resistance of 10.5 Ohms. These particular rolls of Polytape are white in colour which helps them to be easily seen. This tape is very strong and durable with a breaking load of up to 90KG. When an animal touches the fencing a mild shock is given, which is all that is needed to prevent horses, cattle and other animals from rubbing, chewing or resting against your fencing, as well as helping to keep predators are kept at bay.
