Step 1

Thread the connector onto one of the wires, then twist the two wires together.

Tip: Make sure the ends of the wires you are removing are clean and tidy (shiny).

Step 2

Move the connector to the middle of the conductor.

Tip: Make sure you strip enough of the wire ends so they overlap and stay within the solder sleeve area.

Step 3

Use a heat gun with a reflector nozzle to slowly and evenly heat the connector until it melts to the wire.

Tip: Some of our customers may use a lighter to complete the joint, but we highly recommend using a heat gun to shrink the connector, especially for beginners.
