Filter Logic® FL-005 ceramic cartridge:

The Filter Logic® FL-005 spark plug fits the following Doulton® water filters: it installs in place of the existing one.

- Doulton® HCP and HCS (on sink)

- Doulton® HIP, HIS (under sink)

- Doulton® NP3 (professional)

- Doulton® Supercarb Short Mount

Caution: there are two types of nozzles on Ultracarb cartridges, check that the nozzle is identical to the nozzle of your current cartridge (see zoom photo of nozzle)

These Doulton® water filters are equipped with Doulton® Ultracarb® or Supercarb® cartridges.

The Filter Logic® FL-005 ceramic cartridge has a dual action due to its composition: ceramic filtration + activated carbon.

Technical specifications of the Filter Logic® FL-005 ceramic cartridge:

- Average chlorine reduction (taste and odor): >99%

- Average reduction of suspended particles (algae, rust, etc.): >99.99%

- Average reduction of water turbidity: >99.99%

- Average bacterial reduction: >99.98%. This cartridge is intended for use with mains drinking water only. It is not designed to treat rainwater, well water, or any other water of unknown quality.

- Capacity: 1000 gallons / 3800 liters or 6 months.

- Flow rate: 0.75 GPM / 2.8 liters per minute at 3 bar pressure.

- Nominal filtration threshold: between 0.2 and 0.5 µm

- The Filter Logic® FL-005 cartridge does not reduce heavy metals.

- BPA-free.

Length: approximately 26.5 cm

Outer diameter: approximately 5.2 cm.

Outer diameter of threaded stem: approximately 1.2 cm.

Installation of the Ultracarb® compatible Filter Logic® FL-005 cartridge / Supercarb®:

1 - Ensure the rubber O-ring is wet and properly seated on the threaded housing.

2 - Follow the instructions provided with your water filter system to isolate the water supply and replace the water filter. Important: Do not overtighten the fittings.

3 - Flush the system (with the new cartridge installed) for ten minutes by opening the tap or isolation valve.

4 - Leave the filter system to stand overnight.

5 - Flush the system again for two minutes by opening the tap once more.

It is recommended to clean the cartridge with clean water every 3 to 6 months, depending on the water quality, to remove accumulated sediment deposits.

The cartridge has a lifespan of 6 months.

Install only on cold water. Do not use with microbiologically hazardous water or water of unknown quality without a suitable disinfection system before the cartridge.
