Measurement:
(1) After the electric fuel pump automatically primes for 5 seconds, observe the fuel pressure on the oil pressure gauge.Normal oil pressure is approximately 300 kPa.If the oil pressure gauge fluctuates around 300 kPa, the oil pressure regulator is functioning normally.After measuring the initial oil pressure for 5 minutes, observe the fuel system to maintain the pressure indicated by the oil pressure gauge.Should not be less than 147 kPa.If the oil pressure is too high, check if the oil pressure regulation circuit is functioning correctly. If the oil pressure is too low, check the electric fuel pump to maintain pressure, the oil pressure regulator to maintain pressure, and the injector for leaks.
(2) Measure fuel pressure while the engine is running. Start the engine and let it idle.Observe that the fuel system pressure indicated by the oil pressure gauge should not be less than 250 kPa.If it is, check the vacuum gauge for leaks or improper insertion.Press the accelerator pedal and observe the accelerating oil pressure indicated by the oil pressure gauge when the accelerator is fully open.It should not be less than 300 kPa.If it is, check the vacuum hose for leaks or improper insertion.
(3) Measuring fuel pressure after disconnecting the vacuum hose from the oil pressure regulator.Disconnect the vacuum hose from the oil pressure regulator, block it by hand, let the engine idle, and observe the oil pressure indicated by the oil pressure gauge.It should be basically the same as the fuel pressure when the throttle valve is fully open.
(4) Measuring the maximum pressure of the fuel system. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the oil pressure regulator, plug it by hand, let the engine run, and observe the maximum fuel pressure indicated by the oil pressure gauge. At this time, the oil pressure rises to 2-3 times of the working oil pressure, i.e. 490-640 KPa. Otherwise, check the oil pump for blockage or wear and leaks in the oil circuit.
(5) Measuring the residual oil pressure in the fuel system. Turn off the engine. Observe the oil pressure gauge at this time. The residual oil pressure in the fuel system must not be less than 147 kPa. And it won't fall off for 30 minutes. Otherwise, the system will leak oil and will need to be checked further.
