How to Use: Installation Instructions: 1. Press the boot under the gear shift knob to disconnect the boot from the gear shift knob. 2. Remove the knob by turning it counterclockwise. Some models require a wrench for the shift lever nut. 3. Remove the knob and nut from the gear shift lever. 4. Use a wide, angled plastic pry tool to pry between the trim and the center console. 5. Remove the plastic assembly surrounding the gear shift lever. 6. Disconnect the electrical connectors attached to the shift lever frame and lift the shift lever. 7. Turn the shift lever boot over, cut the black fastener, and remove the shift lever boot retainer. 8. Install the new trunk retainer from the outside of the shift lever frame. 9. Secure it in place with the provided O-ring and screws. 10. Reinstall the shift lever, trim, and trunk release button. Check operation.
