These Forgefix General Purpose Pozi Screws with round heads are zinc plated for increased durability. They are versatile screws, suitable for use in many materials.

Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. The zinc oxide can act as a barrier to further oxidation, similar to the protection afforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxide layers.

The Pozidriv screw has four additional points of contact, allowing great torque to be applied without camming out. It can be distinguished by a line embossed in the screw head at 45° to the slots for the driver.

Round headed screws have a flat under head surface, making them ideal for laying flat on sheet material, reducing deformation. These screws have twin threads for easy starting when driving.
