How to change the lampshade: Caution: Unplug the lamp. Carefully disconnect the stem, the tube, and then both ends of the arm. Be careful, as these parts are often tight. Wear gloves to avoid damaging the old parts when removing the old lampshade. Place the new lampshade (without overtightening the arms) and replace the lamp base. Slide the stem onto the lamp, but do not tighten it completely (2 or 3 turns are sufficient). Plug the lamp back in :)
