GY-VL53L0XV2 Time-of-Flight (ToF) Laser Distance Measurement Sensor I2C IIC Telemetry Module Telemetry System
Product information
Description
[FLIGHT SENSE TECHNOLOGY]: The VL53L0 uses flight sensing technology to accurately measure how long it takes for pulses of emitted infrared laser light to reach the nearest object and be reflected back to a lidar detector system.
[DETERMINE ACCURATELY]: This time-of-flight (TOF) measurement allows it to accurately determine the absolute distance to a target without the object's reflectance significantly influencing the measurement.
[DISTANCE RESOLUTION RATIO]: The sensor can report distances up to 2 m (6.6 ft) with a resolution of 1 mm, but its effective range and accuracy (noise) are highly dependent on ambient conditions and target characteristics such as reflectance and size, as well as the sensor configuration.
(The sensor accuracy is specified between ±3% at best and more than ±10% under less optimal conditions.)[RANGE MEASUREMENTS]: Telemetry measurements are available via the sensor's I2C (TWI) interface, which is also used to configure sensor parameters. The sensor provides two additional pins: a stop input and an interrupt output.
[READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USE]: The VL53L0X is a time-of-flight telemetry system integrated into a compact module. This board is a socket for the VL53L0X, so we recommend that you carefully read the VL53L0X datasheet before using this product. The VL53L0X is an excellent integrated circuit, but its small, lead-free LGA package makes it difficult for the typical student or hobbyist to use.
