Chives - Nodding Onion
Nodding Chives (Onions) or Lady's Leek are an easy-to-grow and wonderful ornamental allium with delicate pinky-white flowers nodding on long stalks. Sometimes used as a herb, these chives are beneficial to bees, butterflies and birds. This perennial grows to a height of 30-45cm.
These chives Easy to grow in any soil. Divide established clumps in autumn. It is best grown in wilder areas of the garden, as it is a vigorous grower and spreads quickly.
Outdoors; in situ, in May, thin to 15 cm spacing
